About

Gold’s Dental Charm School is a certificate program accredited by the Department of Consumer Affairs Dental Board of California for dental professionals and those wanting to break into the dental profession. We focus on the art of charm through language choices, dental terminology, and customer service.

Gold’s Dental Charm School presents a well-rounded approach to interpersonal skills with a particular focus on customer service. In addition to our all-day and multi-day programs, we offer a “crash course” covering fundamental principles for study clubs, dental shows, dental clubs, lunch and learns, and more. Although only California state registered professionals can earn CEUs, all students will earn a Certificate of Achievement.

The Mission

Our mission is to give every dentist, dental assistant, dental hygienist, and front office staff member the skills needed to consistently deliver a level of service that exceeds patient expectations. Dental offices will rise above the rest when every team member has the knowledge and confidence to interact positively with patients and each other.

The Instructors

Tanya Gold

Founder and Educator

Tanya Gold literally grew up with dentistry, developing her passion for the field over a lifetime. Born the same weekend her father graduated from dental school, she worked summer and winter breaks at his office in her youth. Though she didn’t realize it at the time, her long-time exposure to dentistry coupled with her love for communication and people ultimately inspired her to create Gold’s Dental Charm School. She states,

“As the founder, I am committed to helping offices achieve success through the process of tailoring experiences to the patient.”

Ms. Gold is a communication specialist, licensed dental hygienist, and published author. In addition to her work in education, she has coached hundreds of dental offices implementing tele-dentistry with Dental Anywhere Mobile Apps. Prior to focusing on dentistry, Ms. Gold worked for over a decade in customer service, as well as doing public relations and marketing for multiple entertainment companies.

Ms. Gold earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University, Northridge.

Michael Stein

Web Marketing, Business Development, and Lead Generation Specialist

Michael Stein brings a wealth of business growth knowledge and practical experience to Gold’s Dental Charm School. He specializes in competitive business practices, online reputation, and brand awareness.

In addition to coaching, Mr. Stein is the owner of Connection Marketing, a multimillion-dollar online marketing strategy company. He is the creator and developer of Dental Anywhere Mobile Apps, the nation’s leading patient-focused dental app.

Mr. Stein earned his master’s in Business Administration from Colorado State University and his Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University, Northridge.

Scott Gold

Hospitality and Staff Management Specialist

Scott Gold is a third-generation hospitality executive whose reputation for five-star service precedes him. His management and guest services expertise make him a welcome addition to Gold’s Dental Charm School, where he shares his know-how with our students.

Mr. Gold has an impressive portfolio of hotel properties, and has held key management positions with many prestigious hotels, including the Beverly Hills Hotel, the MGM Grand, and W Hotels.

Mr. Gold earned his Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
